Are you a fluent Welsh speaker looking for a rewarding opportunity supporting pupils in schools?
We're recruiting confident and enthusiastic Welsh Speaking Cover Supervisors to work across schools in Newport. Whether you're an aspiring teacher, graduate, experienced Cover Supervisor or have transferable experience working with children and young people, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
📚 Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons
🏴 Support learning through the medium of Welsh where required
👥 Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
🌟 Encourage pupil engagement and positive behaviour
📝 Ensure pupils complete the work provided by their teacher
🤝 Work alongside teaching staff and school leadership
Who We're Looking For
✅ Fluent Welsh speaker - essential
✅ Experience working with children or young people is essential (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, volunteering or similar)
✅ Confident managing a classroom
✅ Strong communication and organisation skills
✅ Positive, reliable and adaptable approach
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
