We are a leading private dermatology clinic specialising in minor procedures and medical dermatology, working with top consultants and entering a phase of measured expansion.
We are seeking a Clinical Governance & CQC Lead to take operational ownership of compliance, standards, and quality across the clinic. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who understands CQC expectations, enjoys coaching teams, and takes pride in running an excellent service.
This is not a Registered Manager position. You will lead CQC and governance operationally, working closely with the Director and senior clinicians.
You will be the clinic’s day-to-day CQC and governance lead, ensuring systems are robust, staff are compliant, and standards are consistently upheld.
You will be visible, approachable, and confident able to coach staff, challenge poor practice, and maintain a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Operational ownership of CQC compliance and readiness
- Preparing the clinic for inspections and audits
- Maintaining policies, SOPs, and governance systems
- Coaching and overseeing staff to ensure compliance in daily practice
- Acting as the point of escalation for governance and quality issues
- Supporting patient experience, complaints handling, and service recovery
- Driving high standards that lead to positive patient reviews
- Working with leadership on service improvements and new initiatives
- Background in regulated private healthcare (e.g. Nursing, pharmacy, dental practice management, clinic operations)
- Hands-on experience leading or heavily involved in CQC compliance
- Confident overseeing and coaching multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable holding people accountable to standards
- Personable, professional, and patient-focused
- Organised, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
Private-sector experience is strongly preferred.
- You are looking for a strictly 9–5 office type role
- You prefer advisory or paperwork-only compliance positions
- You are uncomfortable coaching staff or enforcing standards
