We're working with a leading global entertainment business to find an experienced Business & Legal Affairs Manager to join their UK scripted team on a 6-month contract.
This role will suit someone who has a strong background negotiating and drafting television production, talent and rights agreements and enjoys working closely with producers, creatives and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Negotiating and drafting development, commissioning and production agreements
- Managing writer, director, producer and cast agreements
- Reviewing underlying rights and chain of title matters
- Advising on legal and commercial issues throughout production
- Partnering closely with production companies and internal stakeholders
- Supporting scripted series from development through to delivery
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years' experience within a media law firm, broadcaster, streamer, studio or production company
- Strong knowledge of the UK scripted TV landscape
- Significant experience negotiating talent, production and rights agreements
- Commercially minded with excellent judgement and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Ideally UK qualified
