The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are looking for an experienced SMT Supervisor to join a busy electronics manufacturing team. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the SMT production area, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and safety.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong SMT manufacturing experience and previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities as an SMT Supervisor
Coordinate daily SMT production in line with production plans and NPI priorities.
Allocate operators and resources to meet production requirements.
Ensure machine setup, kit readiness and first-off builds are completed.
Maintain housekeeping, ESD compliance and production standards.
Act as the first point of contact for shopfloor issues, escalating technical concerns where required.
Monitor production output, downtime and constraints.
Support operator training, quality standards and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve production issues.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IPC standards and health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience as an SMT Supervisor
Minimum three years' experience in an SMT manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of SMT processes, AOI, first-off inspections and rework.
Previous experience leading or coordinating a production team.
Ability to read production documentation and work instructions.
Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of ESD, quality standards and safe working practices.
