How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Hemel Hempstead - Hybrid

    Temporary - 6 Month Project

    £15 per hour

We are now recruiting for a temporary Customer Orders Administrator for a very well-established international business that has a head office based here in Hemel Hempstead, working closely with the team based in their modern offices in the Maylands area.

This is very much an orders and customer-focused role where you'll be responsible for supporting customers and partners, managing orders, following up deliveries and assisting with invoicing.

The role offers hybrid working, with the team working between home and the company's offices in Hemel Hempstead. During training and onboarding, you'll ideally need to spend more time in the offices before moving into the usual hybrid pattern.

This is a 6-month temporary project but the company is growing, so I wouldn't rule out a longer-term role but this is part of a specific "project".

SAP experience would be great to have, but it isn't essential. Experience using any CRM, ERP or similar systems would be useful.

The role would be working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with a 45-minute lunch break.

This is a 36.25-hour working week, with an hourly rate of £15 per hour, paid weekly as it's a temporary position, plus holiday pay.

We're looking to interview candidates over the coming weeks, with the aim of having someone start towards the end of October, or by the latest going into November.

To give you an idea of what you'll be supporting with:

Handling a handful of customer calls, enquiries and requests, ensuring queries are followed through and resolved within the required timescales.
Registering spare parts and consumables orders onto the relevant systems.
Following up on orders, delivery times and invoicing, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
Providing customers with information around products, pricing, availability and delivery times.
Ensuring customer and product information is kept accurate and up to date across the relevant business systems.
Working collaboratively with internal team to ensure customers receive accurate and relevant information. What do we need from you:

A strong set of people and customer service skills with a genuine focus on providing a high level of service.
Experience working with SAP would be advantageous, but this is not essential.
Experience using a CRM, ERP or similar business system would be highly beneficial.
The ability to manage multiple systems, tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to speak with customers and internal teams.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with different departments.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to understand customer requirements.
A genuine interest in learning about products, systems and technical information.
Someone who is organised, proactive and able to take ownership of customer queries through to resolution.
The ability to work from the Hemel Hempstead offices as required, particularly during training. We are actively recruiting for this role now and looking to interview candidates over the coming weeks, with the aim of finding the right person to start towards the end of October, or by the latest going into November.

If you're looking for a varied customer service role within an established international business and have experience working with customers alongside CRM, ERP or similar systems, please don't hesitate to apply and also call in and speak with Bobby Collins about this role.
