The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An established and growing engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and further develop its H&S function across six sites in Haslingden, Bacup and Darwen.
This is a visible, hands-on role offering genuine ownership. You will work closely with operational teams and senior management to ensure consistent standards, legal compliance and a positive safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Health & Safety across all six sites
Develop and continuously improve H&S policies, procedures and management systems
Conduct risk assessments, audits and site inspections
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing effective corrective actions
Provide practical guidance to managers and employees
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with current UK legislation
Deliver H&S training, toolbox talks and safety initiatives
Promote consistent standards and a proactive safety culture across all locations
Support the business as it continues to grow and expand its operations
About You
NEBOSH qualified - essential
At least five years' professional Health & Safety experience
Strong manufacturing, engineering or similarly high-risk operational background
Experience supporting a large or multi-site business
Thorough knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
Confident conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
Practical, proactive and comfortable spending time within operational environments
Able to influence and communicate effectively at every level

Friday: 8.00am-2.30pm/3.00pm
