The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Wireline team in Kintore.
In this hands-on role, you will assemble, test, and support the delivery of industry-leading K-Winch products, including wireline winches, masts, and associated equipment used by customers around the world. Working as part of a close-knit production team, you will help ensure products are built safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do
Assemble and test wireline winches, masts, and associated equipment in line with NOV standards and procedures
Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bills of materials
Manufacture and assemble hydraulic systems while maintaining required cleanliness standards
Monitor materials and components to identify defects or faults
Ensure product quality while maintaining required levels of output
Support operational goals including on-time delivery and schedule attainment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the introduction of new techniques and products
Proactively identify and communicate issues that may impact assembly activities or delivery timelines
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive working environment
Support operational requirements, including reasonable overtime when required What You'll Bring
Essential
Time-served apprenticeship
NC qualification in a relevant discipline
Background within a mechanical trade or mechanical engineering environment
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Understanding of hydraulic schematics Desirable
HNC or equivalent higher qualification in a relevant subject
Experience within an assembly or manufacturing environment
