I’m supporting a well-established engineering manufacturer (part of a larger international technology group) as they expand their R&D team.
They are hiring two R&D Engineers — one mechanically biased and one electrically biased — to support a major technology transfer programme from mainland Europe into the UK, alongside ongoing product development.
This role sits between design and manufacturing, focused on turning engineering concepts into reliable, production-ready machinery.
What you’ll be involved in
* Supporting new product introduction & technology transfer
* Developing and improving machinery for manufacture
* Testing, validation and problem solving
* Working closely with design, production and engineering teams
What they’re looking for
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience
* Background in machinery, automation or equipment development
* A strong practical / process engineering mindset
* Comfortable solving real-world engineering problems (not purely desk-based)
Mechanical bias: mechanisms, materials handling, assemblies, reliability
Electrical bias: controls hardware, sensors, drives, integration
