The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working Hours: Flexibility required across opening hours, including weekends. 36.6 h weekly
Position Type: Temporary / OngoingKey Responsibilities
As a Cemetery Maintenance Operative, your duties will include:
Grounds Maintenance: Litter picking, emptying refuse/dog waste bins, ground levelling, and seeding or turfing.
Site Care: Clearing and maintaining paths, removing old floral displays, and undertaking winter maintenance duties when required.
Security: Unlocking and locking the cemetery and crematoria sites in line with seasonal hours.
Compliance: Identifying and reporting safety hazards, and completing basic paperwork such as vehicle check lists and timesheets.Requirements (What You Need)
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Driving Licence: A valid Category C1 licence is essential, as you will be required to drive utility vehicles for site maintenance.
Physical Fitness: Ability to undertake physical, manual tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.
Experience: Previous experience in physical outdoor activities and working in a customer-facing environment is highly preferred.
Communication: Good communication skills, with a respectful approach when interacting with bereaved family members and visitors.
Teamwork: Able to work reliably on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.
