About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Hair & Beauty Tutor to deliver engaging vocational provision to alternative provision students at Key Stage 4. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners in developing practical skills, confidence, and pathways towards further education or employment.
The successful candidate will deliver Level 1 Hair & Beauty qualifications, adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Hair & Beauty lessons for KS4 learners
Experience working with pupils with additional needs
Deliver accredited Level 1 vocational qualifications
Differentiate learning to support students with a range of SEN needs
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging practical learning environment
Track student progress and contribute to assessment and reporting
Maintain industry-standard practices in all practical sessions
Support students' personal development, employability, and independenceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A recognised qualification in Hair & Beauty (Level 3 or above)
Experience delivering vocational qualifications (L1/L2)
A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
Experience working with young people, preferably within SEN, SEMH or alternative provision settings
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A passion for supporting young people to achieve their potentialContract Details
