How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer/Solicitor - Hybrid Opportunity 🚨

    I'm currently working with a Local Authority in the Glastonbury area seeking an experienced Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer/Solicitor to support their Housing Legal Team.

    šŸ“… Initial 3-Month Contract (strong likelihood of extension)
    šŸ’· Ā£55-Ā£65 per hour
    šŸ¢ Hybrid Working (2 days per week attendance required)

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy local authority legal team, managing a varied housing litigation caseload while undertaking regular advocacy and court attendance.

    Key Responsibilities:
    āœ… Managing a full housing litigation caseload from start to finish with minimal supervision
    āœ… Attending court and undertaking advocacy approximately once per week
    āœ… Handling housing possession and repossession proceedings
    āœ… Managing rent arrears cases
    āœ… Advising on homelessness matters
    āœ… Dealing with housing disrepair claims
    āœ… Managing antisocial behaviour (ASB) cases and injunction applications
    āœ… Handling gas injunction matters

    Essential Requirements:
    šŸ”¹ Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX Lawyer
    šŸ”¹ Previous local authority housing litigation experience
    šŸ”¹ Experience managing housing possession and repossession proceedings
    šŸ”¹ Strong advocacy experience and confidence attending court
    šŸ”¹ Knowledge of homelessness, housing disrepair, and ASB matters
    šŸ”¹ Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
