Dispatch Operative
📍 Location: Rochdale
💷 Pay: £12.71 per hour
🕒 Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm📅 Contract: Temporary (4-6 weeks initially, with the potential for extension)

Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Dispatch Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous dispatch experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident using computer systems and courier platforms such as DHL and UPS.

As a Dispatch Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are shipped to customers on time while supporting the stores and production teams.

Duties of the Dispatch Operative:

Assist the Dispatch Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the dispatch department.
Prepare and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Use computer systems and courier software, including DHL and UPS.
Support the Stores Team Leader with stock control and spare parts where required.
Manage the movement of products across the shop floor to ensure production schedules are met.
Provide support to the Assistant Production Manager and Dispatch Supervisor during busy periods and holiday cover.
Help maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Operate a Counterbalance FLT to move materials safely around site.We're looking for:

Previous experience in a Dispatch Operative, Dispatch Assistant or warehouse dispatch role.
Experience using courier systems such as DHL, UPS or similar.
Good IT and computer skills.
A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well as part of a team.Benefits:
