How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Plan and deliver a range of fun, creative and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.

    * Supervise children throughout the session, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and happiness at all times.

    * Promote positive behaviour using praise and encouragement, helping children develop confidence and independence.

    * Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues, maintaining effective communication.

    * Prepare and serve healthy snacks in line with food hygiene and allergy procedures.

    * Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and club policies are followed at all times.

    * Maintain accurate registers and report any concerns in accordance with safeguarding procedures.

    * Work collaboratively with the wider school and childcare team to provide a high-quality wraparound care service.

    Requirements

    * Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant childcare qualification (essential).

    * Previous experience working with children in an early years, school, nursery or wraparound care setting.

    * A sound understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

    * Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the importance of promoting children's welfare.

    * A positive, enthusiastic and caring approach with the ability to build strong relationships with children.

    * Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

    * An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive rates of pay.

    * A welcoming and supportive working environment.

    * Opportunities for training and continued professional development.

    * The chance to make a real difference to children's daily experiences and development.

    * A rewarding role within a friendly and dedicated team.
