How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As a Technician Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our production processes run safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll be trusted to make a real impact from day one, working alongside experienced colleagues who are passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement.

 

What to expect:

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards. The role is Days Based: Monday – Friday with a focus on hygiene rotating across all lines and support to daily running requirements.

 

You will:

Champion safe working practices and support a positive safety culture.

Carry out key cleaning routines on a daily basis in line with hygiene standards.

Follow cleaning schedules, work instructions, and safe operating procedures.

Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and responsibly.

Work as part of a team to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.

Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with site expectations.

Support line running activities to include: quality checks, card filling and general line support.

Accurately complete operational and quality documentation.

Support line changeovers, start-ups and shutdown procedures.

Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality and Production teams to minimise downtime and improve performance.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively contribute ideas.

Skills & Essentials:

We're looking for someone who is motivated, proactive and keen to develop within a world-class manufacturing environment.

 

To be successful, you'll ideally bring:

Strong awareness of health, safety and quality standards.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

Able to undertake the physical aspects of the role, including manual cleaning, working in restricted-access areas, bending, kneeling, reaching and manual handling activities, in line with safe working practices.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as alone.

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or processing environment.

A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving.

Confidence working in a fast-moving operational environment.

Basic mechanical aptitude or technical awareness would be advantageous.

Experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals would be advantageous.

Flexibility to support shift patterns and business requirements where applicable.
