⏰Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm (fully office based no work from home)
Our client is seeking a dynamic Accounts Assistant to play a vital role in their Finance Department. If you're passionate about numbers and the arts, this is your chance to shine!
Responsibilities:
Perform regular bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalisation and depreciation.
Reconcile loan accounts accurately, ensuring all details are recorded.
Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable process efficiently.
Prepare fortnightly supplier payment runs and resolve discrepancies.
Manage petty cash and company credit cards, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations.
Review and maintain direct debits and lease schedules.
Support the month-end close process with journal preparation and documentation.
Provide coverage for Accounts Receivable during busy periods.
Maintain the company insurance schedule, ensuring records stay current.
Assist with broader finance administrative tasks as needed.Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Must have accounts payable experience.
Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - V-Lookups, Pivot Tables.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Xero accounting software is highly desirable. Perks and Benefits:
