The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Civils Site Agent to hit the ground running on a major car park construction project in Manchester. Starting on 31st August and running through until Christmas, you will take total ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Site Management: Oversee all on-site civil engineering operations, including earthworks, drainage, foundations, structural concrete works, and surfacing.
* Health & Safety: Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, conducting regular toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site audits.
* Quality Control: Ensure all construction activities comply with design specifications, building regulations, and engineering standards.
* Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, plant operators, and site labour teams to maintain maximum productivity.
* Progress Tracking: Monitor construction progress against the master program, report delays proactively, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, local authorities, and the internal project management team.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, diaries, permits to work, and quality assurance documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Availability: Must be available to start on 31st August for a contract commitment through to Christmas.
* Experience: Proven track record working as a Site Agent or Senior Site Engineer within UK civil engineering, specifically on earthworks, infrastructure/commercial projects.
* Certifications: Valid CSCS Card (Black or Gold), SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), and First Aid at Work.
* Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex civil drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities.
* Communication: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
