The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the build and assembly of advanced commercial and military aircraft. You'll play a key role within the Build Production team, working on high-profile aircraft programmes in a safety-critical environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you'll be responsible for delivering precision assembly work to the highest aerospace standards.
Working from detailed engineering instructions and aircraft drawings
Carrying out assembly tasks including drilling, shimming and sealing
Using hand and power tools to complete complex build activities
Ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety requirements
Completing training to achieve 1st party certification
Working in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at height
Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to team objectives
To be considered, you must meet all qualification requirements below. These are critical for compliance and cannot be flexed:
Completed full engineering apprenticeship (mandatory)
NVQ Level 2 AND Level 3 in an engineering discipline (or equivalent certification)
Time-served or work-based apprenticeship with formal certification
Proof of qualifications must be provided at application stageIn addition, you must have:
Proven experience in a fitter / assembly / manufacturing role
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Hands-on experience using hand and power tools
A strong commitment to health and safety standards
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfort working in confined spaces and at heightPlease note: Applications without the required apprenticeship and NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualifications will not be considered.
