The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A growing M&E contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical building services installations on a project in Dartmouth.
The company delivers mechanical and electrical packages across a range of commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial projects throughout the UK. Due to a strong workload and continued project wins, they are seeking an individual who can take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site and help drive projects through to successful completion.
This opportunity is available on either a permanent or freelance basis. For freelance professionals, the role offers long-term continuity of work and the potential for future projects upon completion.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will be responsible for supervising mechanical installation works on site, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising mechanical installation activities on site
* Coordinating subcontractors, direct labour and specialist suppliers
* Monitoring progress against programme milestones
* Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
* Managing site health and safety compliance
* Attending coordination and progress meetings
* Assisting with planning and sequencing of mechanical works
* Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities
* Identifying and resolving site issues to maintain programme delivery
* Providing regular progress updates to the project team
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Foreman, Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Engineer with experience coordinating labour and subcontractors
* Strong background in HVAC, pipework, public health or mechanical building services
* Experience delivering mechanical packages on commercial, residential, healthcare, education or similar construction projects
* Ability to manage labour, subcontractors and programme requirements
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* Mechanical trade background advantageous
