How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are a leading manufacturer of high-performance luxury superyacht tenders and premium leisure RIBs, renowned for combining cutting-edge engineering with exceptional craftsmanship.     The Role

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This hands-on role is responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, servicing and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across our range of luxury tenders and RIBs.

    The successful candidate will work closely with production, electrical and commissioning teams to ensure every vessel leaves the factory performing to the highest possible standard. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge marine technology in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Install, assemble and commission inboard and outboard propulsion systems.

    Install and service mechanical, hydraulic and fuel systems.

    Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.

    Perform engine installations, alignment and testing.

    Commission onboard systems including steering, trim, navigation, bilge, fuel and cooling systems.

    Conduct pre-delivery inspections, sea trials and performance testing.

    Diagnose technical issues using manufacturer diagnostic software where applicable.

    Complete warranty repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance.

    Support the production team throughout vessel build programmes.

    Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards and within agreed project timescales.

    Produce accurate service reports and engineering documentation.

    Liaise professionally with customers, suppliers and manufacturers when required.

    Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

    Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.

    Skills & Experience

    Essential

    Previous experience as a Marine Engineer or Marine Technician.

    Strong understanding of marine propulsion systems.

    Experience working on high-performance boats, RIBs, sports boats or superyacht tenders.

    Knowledge of diesel and petrol engines.

    Experience with hydraulic, fuel, steering and cooling systems.

    Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently.

    Strong understanding of electrical systems and fault finding.

    Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Full UK driving licence.

    Desirable

    Manufacturer training (Mercury, Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Yamaha, Cox Marine or similar).

    Experience with CAN bus systems and modern marine electronics.

    Knowledge of lithium battery systems and marine charging solutions.

    RYA Powerboat qualifications.

    Forklift or lifting equipment certification.

    Experience conducting sea trials.

    Marine engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).
