How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior / Principal Revit Coordinator

    Location: Exeter or Plymouth

    Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

    Working Arrangement: Hybrid

    The Company

An established and growing building services consultancy is looking to strengthen its digital engineering team with the appointment of a Senior / Principal Revit Coordinator.

The business works across a diverse range of sectors, delivering building services design and digital engineering solutions for projects throughout the South West and wider UK. With a strong focus on technical quality, collaboration and modern digital engineering practices, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Revit professional looking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where they will have the opportunity to take ownership of complex Revit projects, support the development of junior team members and contribute to the continued development of BIM and digital engineering standards.

The role can be based from either Exeter or Plymouth, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

    The Role

As a Senior / Principal Revit Coordinator, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality, coordinated building services design information across a variety of projects.

You will be responsible for producing and managing complex Revit models, coordinating multidisciplinary information and supporting engineers throughout the design process. The role will also involve providing technical guidance to developing Revit Coordinators and contributing to the development and implementation of BIM standards across the business.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Revit professional who is confident working independently, enjoys resolving technical and coordination challenges and wants to take greater responsibility for digital engineering delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

Produce coordinated 3D Revit models and associated 2D drawings using BIM-enabled design tools.
Deliver feasibility, design and contract-level building services drawings with minimal instruction.
Set up and manage complex Revit models, including projects incorporating MagiCAD.
Identify design gaps and liaise proactively with engineering teams to resolve issues.
Undertake interdisciplinary model coordination between building services, structural and architectural elements.
Complete clash detection and resolution using Navisworks, Revizto and other appropriate coordination tools.
Produce RIBA Stage 4 and BWIC drawings to LOD 4.
Create, manage and export COBie data drops, including importing populated data.
Develop and maintain Revit families in accordance with BIM standards.
Upload drawings and models to the Common Data Environment.
Provide buildability and firestopping feedback to engineering teams.
Carry out basic calculations under the guidance of mechanical engineers where required.
Work closely with BIM, engineering and wider design teams to ensure effective project delivery.
Support, manage and mentor developing Revit Coordinators within the team.
Contribute to the development and implementation of BIM standards and best practice.
    About You

You will have strong technical capability across Revit and BIM, combined with a good understanding of building services and multidisciplinary project delivery.

You will be confident working with limited instruction and taking ownership of the quality and completeness of your digital outputs. Strong communication skills are important, as you will work closely with engineers, BIM professionals, architects and other project stakeholders.

You should also be comfortable providing technical guidance to less experienced team members and taking a lead on Revit coordination and digital engineering delivery across projects.

    Requirements

Strong experience working within a Revit, BIM or Digital Engineering role.
    Specialist-level experience using Revit.
Strong working knowledge of Navisworks, BIM 360/Forma and Revizto.
Experience with multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection.
Experience working on building services projects and an understanding of MEP design.
Knowledge of MagiCAD would be advantageous.
Experience producing coordinated construction information, including BWIC and logistics drawings.
Knowledge of COBie data, Revit families and BIM deliverables.
Good understanding of ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans.
Understanding of buildability and firestopping requirements.
    Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.
Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior Revit/BIM professionals would be advantageous.
A relevant BIM, Revit or digital engineering qualification/certification would be beneficial.
    What's on Offer

    Competitive salary and benefits package.
Hybrid working from either Exeter or Plymouth.
    Flexible working hours.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
    Pension scheme.
    Private medical cover.
    Life cover.
    Ongoing training and professional development.
Opportunities for career progression and increased responsibility.
The opportunity to work on a varied range of building services projects across the South West and wider UK.
A collaborative working environment with the opportunity to influence BIM and Revit standards and best practice.
