Our client based near Saffron Walden is recruiting for a Bid / Sales Support Manager to join their innovative technology and engineering organisation. This is a pivotal role supporting business growth through the coordination of bids, sales operations, CRM governance, proposal management and opportunity tracking. Working across commercial, technical, finance, legal and project teams, you will ensure opportunities are progressed efficiently from qualification through to proposal submission, contract acceptance and handover into project delivery.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full bid lifecycle from qualification to proposal submission and contract handover.
- Coordinate proposal activities, schedules, reviews and stakeholder inputs.
- Support proposal preparation, document control, compliance checks and submission readiness.
- Maintain CRM data accuracy, reporting, forecasting and pipeline visibility.
- Produce sales and bid performance reports and dashboards.
- Monitor procurement portals, frameworks and tender opportunities.
- Support supplier onboarding, compliance documentation and portal submissions.
- Coordinate commercial, pricing, legal and partner inputs throughout the bid process.
- Facilitate successful project handovers following contract award.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bid management, proposal coordination, sales operations or a similar commercial support role.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication and document management skills.
- CRM experience, ideally with HubSpot or a similar platform.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical, commercial and senior leadership teams.
- Experience supporting tender submissions, procurement frameworks or government contracts would be advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
