How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.

    Job description

    Work closely with their product and platform teams which are cross-functional and durable, bringing together all the skills required to deliver impactful outcomes. Leadership of the product team is shared between the Product Manager and the Technology Lead, ensuring balanced guidance that bridges product vision and technical execution.

    This position is a key part of the Engineering department that is responsible for multidisciplinary products NPI to production line and support for the entire Product Life Cycle closely with R&D.
    They are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager for production activities line.

    The role focuses on project management, including NPI, commercialization of new and existing products, operational readiness, contract manufacturing management, and documentation control.

    The Project Manager serves as the focal point for cross-functional activities, ensuring operational requirements are captured and project commitments are delivered on time, within scope, budget, schedule, quality, and compliance requirements. The role requires close collaboration with local and global R&D, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Information Systems, production teams, subcontractors, CMOs/OEMs, and other internal and external stakeholders.

    The role is part of a multi-site programme, working alongside teams located in California, USA and in Israel. Our client is offering a 12-month temporary contract to start as soon as possible where you will have the option of hybrid working (at least 3 days in the office based in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire). Working as a PAYE temporary worker, our client offers an hourly rate of £23.69 - £40.31 per hour depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday pro rata.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Lead end-to-end project management activities for new product introduction, product transitions, production readiness, and ongoing product lifecycle projects.

    * Represent Operations within project teams and ensure that operational, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and engineering requirements are captured, aligned, and implemented.

    * Build and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, milestones, risks, mitigations, dependencies, and escalation processes.

    * Lead matrix teams across local and global interfaces, driving alignment, decision-making, accountability, and timely execution.

    * Manage communication and reporting to project teams and leadership, including project status, risks, issues, decisions, and next steps.

    * Lead and support NPI activities for multidisciplinary products from development to production, ensuring readiness for commercialization and mass production.

    * Support contract manufacturing activities, including establishment or transfer of production lines at CMOs/OEMs and coordination of engineering, operational, technical, quality, and supply chain requirements.

    * Serve as an interface and focal point for CMOs, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders related to project execution, engineering data transfer, documentation, and implementation follow-up.

    * Ensure creation, maintenance, and accuracy of product documentation data, including part numbers, BOMs, revisions, statuses, production processes, work instructions, and related documentation.

    * Support and coordinate engineering change processes, including ECR, ECO, CCB, MCO, and EOL activities, from initiation through full implementation.

    * Maintain required engineering and operational data in PLM and ERP systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, traceability, and compliance across the product lifecycle.

    * Drive cross-functional problem solving and operational readiness activities involving manufacturing operations, procurement, planning, logistics, supplier quality, production, import/export, and regulatory interfaces.

    Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Education:

    * B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

    * At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in an Engineering or Operations environment, including project management, NPI activities, and work with multidisciplinary products through the Product Life Cycle.

    * Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, follow-up, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder management.

    * Deep understanding of NPI processes, production readiness, manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, sourcing, contract manufacturers/OEMs, supplier quality, and operational implementation.

    * Experience working with contract manufacturers, subcontractors, suppliers, or third-party production environments is a significant advantage.

    * Strong understanding of product documentation, BOM and revision management, engineering change processes, work instructions, production processes, and lifecycle management.

    * Experience with PLM and ERP systems; knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter is an advantage.

    * High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

    * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple levels, disciplines, cultures, and global interfaces.

    * High sense of ownership, accuracy, structure, accountability, and attention to detail.

    * Fluent English, including reading, writing, speaking, and business communication.

    * Ability to lead meetings, share knowledge, conduct training, and influence without direct authority in a matrix environment.

    * Willingness to travel as required for supplier, CMO, or project implementation activities, up to 3-4 times a year for maximum 2 weeks.
