This is a hands on role with an established food manufacturer where you'll lead the warehouse and logistics function, with the scope to improve performance and make changes that will have a direct impact on performance.
Days based, Monday to Friday, although you may have to jump onto shifts from time to time to support and coach your team.
Easily commutable from Leeds, York, Harrogate and surrounding areas.
About the Role:
This is a relatively small business, employing around 130 people, with an open, people focused culture. It's a collaborative environment, so you'll be working closely with colleagues across the business and getting involved where needed to support the wider day to day operation.
As Warehouse Manager, some of the things you'll be doing include:
Leading and developing a team across three warehouses, while working in partnership with colleagues in operations and engineering, to ensure KPIs and OTIF targets are achieved.
Managing the inbound, internal, and outbound movement of ingredients, materials, and products.
Building your team's skills through coaching and training and working closely with them to drive engagement.
Maintaining a visible presence across the site, supporting your team when unexpected challenges arise.
Focusing on opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, and work more efficiently.About You:
An experienced Warehouse Manager, ideally from a food manufacturing or FMCG background, who can achieve KPIs and knows how a well run warehouse should operate.
Strong people skills, somebody who enjoys leading and developing people.
A 'hands on' manager who can think strategically but still enjoys spending time on the shop floor.
Flexible in approach, willing to support colleagues across the business even if it is outside your usual remit.
Good practical knowledge of stock control, Health & Safety, and warehouse systems.Why Apply?
