An established construction, refurbishment and specialist services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to join its senior leadership team.
This is a key strategic appointment, sitting directly beneath the board of directors and taking responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the operational management structure.
The Role
Reporting directly to the directors, you will oversee the senior management team and play a significant role in driving operational performance, client relationships and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and management of senior personnel including Contracts Managers, Health & Safety, HR and other business support functions.
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest quality standards.
Supporting and developing long-term client relationships across key accounts and framework agreements.
Providing strategic oversight across multiple projects and operational teams.
Driving operational efficiency, resource planning and business performance.
Working closely with the directors to support the continued growth of the business.
Supporting tendering activity and helping secure new opportunities.
Acting as a senior point of contact for both clients and operational teams.
About You
The successful candidate is likely to come from a background within the construction, fit-out, refurbishment or retail delivery sectors.
You will also have:
Strong leadership experience managing senior operational teams.
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
A proven track record delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
Commercial awareness and the ability to support business growth.
Experience within retail, food & beverage, refurbishment or framework-led environments.
Tier One or Tier Two contractor experience would be highly advantageous.
The credibility and presence to provide confidence to both clients and project teams.
