Roles & Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on a wide range of plant machinery.
* Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
* Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and PAT testing where required.
* Attend customer sites across Essex and the surrounding counties to carry out repairs and servicing.
* Use computer diagnostic equipment to identify faults and complete repairs efficiently.
* Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
* Inspect equipment to ensure it is safe, fully operational and ready for use.
* Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
* Work effectively within the workshop team and independently whilst on-site.
Additional Responsibilities
* Work on a variety of leading plant machinery brands including JCB, Komatsu, Bomag, Thwaites, Hamm, Powerscreen, John Deere and Bell.
* Maintain and repair equipment including excavators, dumpers, crushers, screeners, wheeled loaders, generators, water pumps, hydraulic attachments, compaction equipment and lifting equipment.
* Carry out both workshop-based and mobile service work as business requirements dictate.
* Assist with maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding experience.
* Competent using computer diagnostic equipment.
* Experience servicing and repairing heavy plant machinery.
* Full clean UK Driving Licence.
* Own tools are essential.
* Excellent attention to detail with accurate record keeping.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a workshop and site environment.
Working Pattern & Benefits
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
