Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain recycling equipment, including power tools and machinery, ensuring smooth and safe operations
* Use hand tools for sorting, repairing, and adjusting recycling machinery and containers
* Perform heavy lifting of recyclable materials safely and efficiently throughout your shift
* Assist with animal care tasks related to recycling facilities that involve animal habitats or related environments
* Apply basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and recording quantities of recycled materials
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment; troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed
* Support horticulture activities such as irrigation system checks or plant care within the recycling site if applicable
* Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and perform equipment repairs
* Experience with irrigation systems or horticulture practices is a plus
* Familiarity with hand tools for maintenance and repair tasks
* Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
* Ability to lift heavy materials safely and consistently throughout the shift
