The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Role Overview
We are recruiting a Fabric Engineer to deliver planned and reactive fabric maintenance across a large, high‑profile retail shopping centre. This role includes responsibility for external building fabric and grounds, alongside internal PPMs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver PPM and reactive fabric maintenance across the site
* Carry out general fabric works: carpentry, patch repairs, basic plumbing, painting & decorating
* Inspect and maintain fire doors and internal finishes
* Take ownership of external fabric and grounds, including paving, street furniture, handrails, bollards, signage and external fixtures
* Complete routine external inspections and raise defects proactively
* Coordinate and oversee specialist subcontractors for external / grounds works
* Use CAFM / PDA systems to log and close works accurately
* Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety requirements, especially in public areas
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer / Fabric Technician
* Strong all‑round building fabric skillset (carpentry preferred)
* Experience working with external fabric or grounds maintenance
* Comfortable working in busy, public‑facing retail environments
* Good understanding of PPM delivery and reactive maintenance
* Health & Safety awareness (RAMS, COSHH, Working at Height)
Desirable:
* Civils qualification
* IPAF, PASMA, manual handling competency
* Fire door experience
* Retail or large estate experience
