As a Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician, you will carry out vehicle servicing, fault diagnosis, and mechanical repairs while supporting the smooth operation of a busy workshop.
This role offers a salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a range of petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles.
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
Completing repairs including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, clutches, timing belts, and timing chains.
Carrying out head gasket replacements and other major mechanical repairs.
Completing MOT-related repairs accurately and efficiently.
Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating findings to the service team.
Maintaining accurate records for completed work.
Supporting other technicians when required and helping maintain a professional workshop environment.
What we are looking for:
Previously worked as a Senior Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Car Mechanic, Car Technician or in a similar role.
At least 5 years of experience within a vehicle maintenance and repair environment.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Experience carrying out servicing, repairs, and complex mechanical work independently.
Ability to replace and repair components including brakes, suspension, exhausts, clutches, timing belts, and timing chains.
Experience with head gasket replacements.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
Full UK manual driving licence.
