Freelance Site Manager – Catterick

Location: Catterick

Duration: Long-term freelance

Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a refurbishment project involving the renovation and upgrade of existing living accommodation in Catterick.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the works, ensuring the project is completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the refurbishment works from start to completion

Supervising subcontractors and site operatives

Coordinating trades and ensuring works are progressing to programme

Maintaining high standards of health & safety across site

Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks

Managing site paperwork, RAMS and daily records

Liaising with the Project Manager, subcontractors and client representatives

Ensuring materials, labour and plant are coordinated effectively

Identifying and resolving any issues that may impact programme or quality

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, fit-out or general building projects

Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements

Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades

SMSTS

CSCS

First Aid

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site
