We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will support the smooth running of day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving goods, storing stock, picking and packing orders, preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, unload and check incoming deliveries against paperwork or system records.
*
Report any damaged, missing or incorrect goods to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
*
Store and rotate stock correctly, ensuring goods are organised safely and logically.
*
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
*
Load and unload vehicles safely, following site procedures.
*
Use handheld scanners, warehouse systems or paperwork to maintain accurate stock records.
*
Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory control activities.
*
Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times.
*
Follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidance and correct use of PPE.
*
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or trolleys where trained and authorised.
*
Work closely with colleagues, supervisors and other departments to meet daily targets.
*
Undertake any reasonable additional duties required to support warehouse operations.
Skills and Experience
*
Previous warehouse, logistics, production or stock handling experience is desirable but not essential.
*
Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling goods and paperwork.
*
Ability to work at pace while maintaining quality and safety standards.
*
Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
*
Good teamwork and communication skills.
*
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
*
Comfortable with physical work, including standing, walking, lifting and moving items during a shift.
*
Forklift, counterbalance or reach truck licence is desirable where relevant but not essential.
Health and Safety
The Warehouse Operative must take responsibility for their own health and safety and that of others by following company procedures, reporting hazards, using equipment correctly, wearing required PPE, and complying with manual handling and site safety requirements.
Working Conditions
The role may involve shift work, early starts, late finishes, weekends or overtime depending on business needs.
The role involves regular physical activity, including lifting, carrying, bending and standing for extended periods.
The warehouse environment may include varying temperatures, moving vehicles, machinery and busy operational areas.
