How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Vehicle Technician (Level 2 or 3) Swindon

    Reactive Recruitment are proud to be working with one of the largest dealership groups across the South of the UK. Due to continued success, their prestigious Swindon site require a number of experienced Vehicle Technicians. 

    Vehicle Technician package:

    Excellent starting salary of between £30-35,000 per annum depending on experience
    Approx. £10,000 per annum average bonus paid on top of the basic salary – very uncapped!
    Working from their prestigious Swindon site - with flexible working hours – to be discussed at interview on a case by case basis

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of vehicles
    Diagnosing and resolving faults, in the workshop and on the road
    Using up-to-date tools and systems to achieve first-time fixes
    Working to brand and safety standards at all times
    Maximising productivity through efficient use of workshop systems
    Taking part in ongoing technical and brand-specific training
    Experience required:

    Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points)
    Level 2 or 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
    Main dealership experience is preferred but not essential
    Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset
