We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teachers to join our close-knit team of schools in Coventry, West Midlands In this role, you'll be helping our youngest learners develop essential skills, ignite their imagination, and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
All work will be pre planned- so you can focus on doing what you do best, inspiring the next generation!
WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE:
1. Planning and Delivering Learning Activities
Early Years Teachers plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's development across the EYFS learning areas.
Key tasks include:
* Planning age-appropriate lessons and play-based learning activities
* Supporting development in communication, language, literacy, maths, and social skills
* Creating activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration
* Following children's interests to guide learning experiences
* Supporting school readiness skills such as listening, sharing, and independence
Observing and Assessing Child Development
Monitoring children's progress is a major responsibility.
This involves:
* Observing children during activities and play
* Recording developmental milestones and learning progress
* Completing progress assessments and learning journals
* Identifying children who may require additional support
* Planning next steps in learning based on observations
ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:
* Degree in EYFS or Early Childhood education (essential).
* QTS qualification (essential)
* Strong behaviour management skills.
* A minimum of 2 years' UK Early Years experience, working in Nurseries, Preschools or Reception.
* Excellent safeguarding knowledge, as well as safeguarding training (we can provide training).
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* References covering the last two years of employment.
* Reliable methods of transport to commute across all areas of Coventry.
* SEN, EAL and Makaton experience (desirable).
