CNC Machinist (Stonework)
We are working with a long-established, forward-thinking stonemasonry business known for delivering high-quality architectural, heritage and interior projects. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail, they are seeking a CNC Machinist to join their growing workshop team.
The Role:
You will be responsible for producing precision-cut stone components for a range of bespoke projects including façades, staircases and heritage works. Using advanced 3–6 axis CNC machinery, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality outputs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme and operate CNC saws (3–6 axis)
- Interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD) and plan machining works
- Select, handle and position stone materials
- Load/unload machinery safely (training provided)
- Carry out machine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance
- Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team
- Maintain high standards of health & safety
About You:
- Experience in CNC machining/programming (stone or similar materials preferred)
- Ability to visualise in 3D and work from technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a hands-on, workshop environment
- Good level of IT literacy (CAD/Alphacam beneficial)
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
