The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role
As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality interior and exterior decorating works across a range of properties. You will play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic standards of our estates, ensuring all finishes meet a premium level
Key Responsibilities
Carry out interior and exterior painting and decorating across multiple properties
Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, priming, and ensuring high-quality finishes
Hang and line wallpaper, calculating required materials accurately
Paint walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windowsills, and skirting boards
Carry out specialist finishes such as varnishing or French polishing where required
Support other trades to ensure a seamless and high-standard finish across projects
Follow all health and safety regulations, including COSHH and working at height
Participate in seasonal shifts and on-call rota when required
Complete additional tasks as requested within the scope of the roleWhat We're Looking For
We are looking for a professional with:
NVQ or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and decorating techniques
Experience in both residential and high-end/luxury environments (desirable)
A full, clean UK driving licence
The ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and decorating equipment
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
