The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising combustion and fuel systems to ensure safe, efficient and compliant plant operation. Working closely with operations and maintenance teams, you will support both planned and reactive activities across site.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, inspect and troubleshoot fuel and combustion systems
Support safe and efficient operation of burners, boilers and associated plant
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions
Contribute to preventative maintenance strategies to improve asset reliability
Assist with system optimisation to enhance performance and reduce downtime
Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSE standards and site procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence What We're Looking For
Proven experience within fuel and combustion systems in an industrial environment
Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding capability
Experience working on burners, furnaces or similar equipment
Boiler maintenance experience (highly desirable)
Good understanding of health, safety and compliance standards
Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Time-served or qualified Mechanical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred) The Opportunity
