The Role
● Sending RFQ’s to suppliers and generating cost sheets to return to sales
● Overseeing the creation of necessary technical documents and datasheets, working
closely with the internal QA team to ensure all documentation submitted is correct.
● Work closely with the sales team to ensure quoted products meet project specification.
● Sourcing & Strategy: Identify and evaluate suppliers for various suppliers
● Obtaining test reports for project specific orders.
● Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times with manufacturers
and distributors to maximize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
● Negotiate MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities) and costs to ensure the project is profitable.
● Logistics and Order Progressing: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
to ensure timely delivery of materials to sites/warehouses.
Key Skills
● Analytical Skills: Strong Excel skills and ability to analyse market trends
● Communication: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to explain technical delays
to project managers.
● Organisation: Ability to manage the critical path from enquiry/RFQ to delivery
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable communicating with
stakeholders of all levels
● IT Literate. Confident using Microsoft Office programmes
● Strong attention to detail
Salary description
£40000.00 - £55000.00 per year
