The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role
A leading innovator in cooling technology is seeking an experienced Contract Controls Design Engineer for an on-site project in Maldon. Operating within an Agile R&D environment, you will design control algorithms, build high-fidelity simulations, and integrate hardware to optimise ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities
Algorithm Design: Develop and implement PID and advanced control strategies for precise temperature regulation.
Modeling & Simulation: Build, calibrate, and validate system models using MATLAB/Simulink to minimize physical prototyping.
System Integration: Connect control software with sensors, actuators, and refrigeration hardware.
Data Optimisation: Analyse performance data to improve system robustness, sustainability, and efficiency.
Compliance & Docs: Maintain technical specs and control logic descriptions compliant with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.Requirements
Degree in Control Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Proven contract experience in control systems design and system dynamics.
Advanced proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent modeling tools.
Experience with embedded or industrial control software integration.
Ability to work full-time on-site in Maldon, UK
