The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business.
The Senior Import Agent is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily import operations, from initial enquiry through to shipment recovery and final clearance, ensuring shipments are handled in a compliant, timely, and professional manner. The role requires a strong understanding of World Courier’s SOPs, written guidance, customs clearance processes, CDS, and customs declarations for both air and road freight. The successful candidate will have strong decision-making and communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience liaising with clients, service providers, regulatory bodies, other World Courier offices, internal departments, Border Force, Port Health, and local customs authorities. A flexible and adaptable approach is essential due to the changing nature of customs regulations, alongside a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service.
This role will be based on a working pattern of 8.5 hours per day on a 40 hour working week, between Monday to Sunday, 6 am – midnight. There will be some flexibility on the days of work and core times worked. This can be discussed further at interview.
Responsibilities will include:
* Comply with World Courier Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which contain specific instructions to take the steps concerning the reception and shipment of materials.
* Compare the material received with the documentation forwarded in order to certify concordance or disagreement.
* Prepare box contents according to what´s described on WC Packing List.
* Perform activities on the Operative System CTM-STAR related to the Inbound, Outbound, Return and Relocation processes.
* Carry out relabeling, stock, balance and relocations processes developed at the Facility.
