The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.
As a result of this increasing demand for our services we are looking for an Architectural Designer to join our team on the Lightly Shielded Store 1 (LSS1) Project. LSS1 is a 7200m2 footprint major project new build on the Sellafield site. It will be a new class of Intermediate Level Waste store for Sellafield with a design life of 100 years.
The role
As a Architectural Designer your responsibilities could include:
* Development of the architectural 3D Revit model.
* Attend regular model reviews / space management meetings and represent their discipline and present their model at these.
* Work closely with CS&A Engineers / Architects and designers from other disciplines to co-ordinate the development of the model.
* Produce 2D AutoCAD GA and detail drawings from the model as design progresses through Preliminary and Detailed Design.
* Work with CS&A Engineers and Architects on Specifications.
* Fulfil the Designer role under the CDM Regulations.
As a Architectural Designer you will already:
* Architectural technology HND or degree qualified.
* Experienced in using Revit for 3D and AutoCAD for 2D.
* Have experience in layout development and architectural detailing and specifying (cladding, roofing, finishes, partitions, stairs, modular builds).
* Ideally have some nuclear experience but if not, in a similar industrial field.
* Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams and presenting their modelling updates within group environments.
* Working knowledge of CDM.
* Enthusiastic and willing to help develop less experienced members of the CS&A team
