We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for full-time positions within SEN schools across Canterbury and the surrounding areas.
Potential long-term opportunities within SEN schools - you must be available to work Monday to Friday on a long-term basis.
Some positions may also offer the opportunity to become temporary to permanent.
Location: Canterbury and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £93 per dayOur client schools support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including complex sensory needs, medical needs, moderate learning difficulties and behavioural needs. The schools cater for pupils across both primary and secondary age ranges.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Build positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement, confidence and personal development.
Support students with managing their behaviour and understanding the impact of their actions.
Work closely with teachers, parents and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Help deliver highly personalised programmes designed to meet individual student's needs.What We're Looking For:
A compassionate, patient and adaptable individual with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people.
Previous experience within education, care or supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable.
You must be comfortable with providing personal care when required.
Full right to work in the UK.
An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one. A new DBS costs £62, and we will reimburse this fee once you have completed 20 days of work with us.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
