How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a passionate teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can genuinely make a difference?

Our client school in Canterbury is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their specialist team. The school supports children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs) and provides a structured, nurturing environment designed to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is confident building positive relationships with pupils and understands the importance of adapting their approach to meet individual needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, whilst working closely with support staff to ensure pupils receive the right level of academic and pastoral support.

    The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
Adapt your teaching to meet a range of SEMH and individual learning needs.
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment.
Manage behaviour confidently using positive and consistent strategies.
Monitor pupil progress and contribute towards individual learning plans.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.

    About You

The successful SEN Teacher must hold QTS and have a genuine passion for working with children and young people with additional needs.

The school would ideally suit a SEN teacher who is:

Experienced working with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
Patient, resilient and confident in managing complex situations.
Able to build strong relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education.
Adaptable and willing to take a personalised approach to teaching.
Passionate about helping pupils develop both academically and personally.Previous SEN/SEMH experience is highly desirable, but teachers with mainstream experience who are looking to move into specialist education are also encouraged to apply.

    Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist school where you can make a real difference to the lives of young people. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team, with the opportunity to develop your SEN teaching experience within a dedicated SEMH setting.
