Lead a Landmark Data Centre Project in West London
We are recruiting an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major, high-value data centre project in West London, operating from a Slough-based office.
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a flagship scheme within a fast-growing, specialist design & build contractor operating across complex sectors including data centres, energy, and defence.
The Opportunity
As Project Director, you will take ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of a large-scale data centre project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key client relationships, and drive commercial performance while setting the tone for excellence across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of a major data centre project
*
Oversee programme, cost, quality, and risk management
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
*
Drive commercial performance, working closely with Quantity Surveyors to protect margin and manage costs
*
Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
*
Lead project teams, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance management
*
Oversee procurement strategy and subcontractor management
*
Manage contract obligations under NEC/JCT frameworks
*
Deliver regular reporting to senior stakeholders and directors
*
Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice
About You
We’re looking for a proven leader with a strong track record in delivering large-scale construction or mission-critical projects, ideally within data centres or similarly complex environments.
Essential:
*
Significant experience as a Project Director / Senior Project Manager on major construction schemes
*
Strong background in data centres, infrastructure, or technically complex projects
*
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, project planning, and delivery
*
Experience managing large site teams and multiple subcontractors
*
Strong commercial awareness and cost control expertise
*
In-depth understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
*
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
*
Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, or similar
*
Professional membership (e.g., CIOB, RICS)
*
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
*
Experience in design & build environments
