Job Summary
We are seeking a Nursery Teacher to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and personalised care. Hours : Monday - Friday , Term Time Only, 12 weeks paid holidays, excellent further training and career progression opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
* Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtime, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and confidence among children.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
* Lead and manage a team of nursery assistants and practioners, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
* Organise daily routines, including arrival, departure, rest periods, and outdoor play sessions.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years curriculum standards.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
* Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
* Valid childcare or nursery qualification recognised within the UK (e.g., BA in Early Years Education from UK or Overseas, QTS , Qualified Teaching Status, Early Years Teaching Status or PGCE, NVQ, CACHE, BTEC Level 3 in childcare and early years education
* Childcare experience combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
