Mechanical Project Manager – Healthcare

£70k + package (DOE)

Our client is a leading Mechanical Building Services contractor based near Billericay, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the healthcare sector.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team.

The role will primarily involve managing healthcare and NHS projects, with project values of up to approximately £2 million. You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical packages, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager with previous NHS or healthcare experience to join an established and well-regarded mechanical contractor.
The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

•Managing mechanical projects up to approximately £2m in value.
•Primarily delivering NHS and healthcare projects.
•Managing heating, ventilation and HVAC packages.
•Planning and coordinating mechanical installations from mobilisation through to completion.
•Managing project programmes, budgets and resources.
•Coordinating with clients, consultants, main contractors and other trades.
•Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site-based mechanical teams.
•Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
•Managing variations, valuations and commercial elements of the project.
•Monitoring project progress and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
•Ensuring all works comply with relevant standards, specifications and healthcare requirements.
•Attending client and project meetings.
•Managing commissioning, snagging and project handover.
•Ensuring all health & safety and quality requirements are maintained throughout the project.
