We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 ( C ) Flatbed Steel Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Class 2 (C) flatbed lorry to deliver steel efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving Class 2 (C) vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety. This is a multi-drop position with no handball involved and temporary position potentially ongoing for the right driver.
Duties
* Safely operate a Class 2 (C) Flatbed lorry in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
* Deliver Steel to various sites, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs
* Able to secure load using ratchet straps - Essential
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
* Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.
Qualifications
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
* Proven experience using ratchet straps essential
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members
* Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to tipper driving and material handling
* Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability

£16ph basic - holidays accrued - £21ph overtime after 8hrs – holidays accrued
