How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Installation Supervisor

    Pay: £39,520 - £49,400 per year

    We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Supervisor to lead industrial installation projects, supervise site teams, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

    Location

    Site-based role with travel and working away when required.

    Hours

    Full-time – 38 hours per week (basic) - Overtime essential.

    The Role Supervisory Responsibilities

    * Lead and support installation teams on site

    * Ensure projects are completed on time and within specification

    * Manage labour, materials, and site performance efficiently

    * Maintain health & safety compliance and site standards

    * Review site documentation and assist where required

    * Support quotations, material planning, and reporting

    Electrical Installation Duties

    You will be hands-on and capable of working independently:

    * Install cable containment systems

    * Mount equipment (isolators, junction boxes, etc.)

    * Run, gland, terminate and test cables

    * Earth plant equipment in accordance with BS 7671

    * Test installations to BS 7671/NICEIC standards

    * Test electrical control panels

    * Maintain safe and orderly work areas

    Requirements Essential

    * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

    * City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)

    * Minimum 5 years’ industrial installation experience

    * Strong knowledge of current wiring regulations and safety standards

    * CSCS/ECS card and Health & Safety training

    * IPAF certification

    * Strong communication and leadership skills

    Desirable

    * Experience supervising industrial electrical installations

    * Ability to prepare material schedules and site documentation
