Forest Ranger

Longleat Forest | £14.01 per hour

Care for the forest that cares for our guests

As a Forest Ranger, you'll help keep our woodland safe, healthy and full of life - from maintaining footpaths to protecting wildlife habitats and waterways.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining forest and landscaped areas

Operating specialist tools and machinery

Supporting conservation and seasonal forestry work

Work outdoors in all seasons and all weathers

Your working hours

Full-time contract, with shifts falling between 7am and 7pm

You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 160 hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements

This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays

You may also be required to participate in the department's call-out rota as required

About you

NVQ Level 2 in horticulture / forestry (or equivalent experience)

Comfortable outdoors in all weathers

Knowledge of tools and safety procedures

Full valid driving licence (held for a minimum of 6 months)
