The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking an experienced Project Clerk of Works to provide independent quality assurance and technical oversight across multiple live project sites.
Clerk of Works – Building & M&E Compliance
Pay rate: £300 per day
Contract duration – 6 Months, with potential to extend to 12 Months and beyond
Work Pattern – Monday to Friday Nights (Out of Hours) , with occasional weekend working for critical programme elements (16.30 - 03.30)
The purpose of this role is to provide independent, technically focused oversight of contractor works across multiple sites, ensuring all activities are delivered strictly in accordance with approved scope, drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and agreed project plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently inspect and monitor construction works across multiple sites.
* Verify workmanship, materials and compliance with drawings and specifications.
* Ensure contractors adhere to approved RAMS, Permit to Work procedures and CDM Regulations.
* Carry out temporary works inspections and promote a strong health & safety culture.
* Identify defects, technical issues and project risks, escalating where required.
* Monitor programme progress, contractor performance and quality standards.
* Produce clear, evidence-based site reports to support project governance and decision making.
* Work within live operational environments, ensuring minimal disruption to building users.
About You
* Previous experience as a Clerk of Works, NEC Supervisor, Building Inspector, Site Manager or Construction Quality professional.
* Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, construction quality and contractor management.
* Experience reviewing RAMS, permits and technical documentation.
* Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
* ICWCI or CIOB membership/qualification is highly desirable.
* SMSTS or SSSTS and a relevant construction qualification are advantageous
