The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an additional Family Lawyer to join their busy department. You'll handle a varied caseload of Legal Aid Family matters, with a strong focus on children work.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be trusted to manage your own files while being supported by an experienced team of fee earners, consultants and support staff.
You'll be joining a well-structured Family department made up of fee earners, consultants and dedicated support staff, all working together to deliver high-quality Legal Aid services.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of Legal Aid Family matters
Advising clients on a range of children matters and broader family issues
Representing clients in court where required
Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid requirements and standards
Delivering a high standard of client care
What We're Looking For
A qualified Lawyer with 5+ years' PQE (or equivalent) in Family Law
Strong experience in Legal Aid Family work
Children Panel Membership is highly desirable (but not essential)
Confident managing your own caseload independently
A committed and empathetic approach to client care
Strong organisational and communication skills
