We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Controller to join our team in Livingston and play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a seamless 5‑star delivery experience.
As Transport Operations Controller, you'll lead the transport function within a busy Distribution Centre. You'll be responsible for managing people, vehicles, processes and compliance - ensuring delivery of a safe, efficient and customer‑focused operation.
You must hold a Management CPC Qualification to be considered for this role.
What You'll Be Doing
Ensuring vehicles are legally compliant, safe and well maintained - including inspections, repairs and routine servicing.
Managing and monitoring driver qualifications and ensuring all required training is up to date.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with legal and company requirements.
Supervising waste disposal and maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Leading, coaching and developing the team to optimise performance and drive high standards.
Supporting the handling, movement and storage of goods to maximise warehouse space and minimise damage.
Managing delivery schedules, fleet utilisation and staffing to ensure timely and cost‑effective operations.
Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met, driving a culture of safety throughout the site.
Producing operational reports covering distribution activity and delivery performance.
Handling customer enquiries and complaints effectively to maintain exceptional levels of satisfaction.What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Transport Operations Controller or similar role within a distribution or logistics environment.
Management CPC qualification.
Strong people leadership - able to motivate, coach and develop a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to delivering first‑class customer service.
A team player with flexibility to work occasional Saturday's or evening when required.What's In It for You
